Southgate Hockey Centre run a range of camps over the year. They take place every holiday in February, April, June, July, August, October and December.
Camps times are 10 am to 4pm
Over 5 Hours hockey training each day

Advanced Hockey Camps
The advanced camps are usually lead by former GB international John Shaw. They are for boys and girls aged 12 to 16, playing full County Academy hockey (JAC) or equivalent, and above. If you are below this level or have only attended a Junior Development Centre (JDC), our Improvers camps will be more suitable. Expect to work hard but also expect to reach new levels and learn new skills. You are expected to have a good work ethic and coaches will be demanding of quality and attitude. Camps are usually two days and cost £60. (lunch is not included).
Improvers Hockey Camps
The Improvers Camps are an intermediate camp for boys and girls aged 12–16 covering on a range of basic attacking and defending skills. If you have just started or who have been playing a little while but have yet to reach the dizzy level of county hockey. The courses are suitable for beginners up to those attending Junior Development Centres (JDCs) and trialing for the Academy’s. Camps are usually two days and cost £50. Lunch is not included.
Under 12s Junior Skills Camps
The Junior Skills Camps are a fun course of hockey skills for children of all abilities aged 8 to 11. Children will be divided into groups on the first morning and coached according to experience and ability. The course will include training and exercises designed to introduce new skills and develop technique. There will of course be lots of games and competition- Camps are usually two days and cost £50. (Lunch is not included).
Advanced Goalkeeper Camps Age 12-16
An intensive course in goalkeeping skills for boys and girls at full county Academy level and above. The course will include a range of GK skills and will be tailored to the needs of the GKs attending. Camps are usually two days and cost £75 (Lunch is not included).
Improver Goalkeeper Camp Age 12-14
An intermediate course in goalkeeping skills for boys and girls who haven’t reached the dizzy heights of full county Academy level hockey and are looking improve. The course will include a range of GK skills and will be tailored to the needs of the GKs attending. Camps are usually two days and cost £60 (Lunch is not included).
Junior Goalkeepr Camp Age 8-11
An fun course in goalkeeping skills for girls and boys aged 8 to 11. The course will include basic positioning and posture, left and right hand saves, 1v1s, 2v1s, kicking, pad saves, short corner defence. Limited number of GK kits are available if you do not have your own. Camps are usually two days and cost £60 (Lunch is not included).
